Daily I plan two chapathis with little rice for lunch and I'm in search of side dishes for it. Kootu can be a healthy combination for Chapathi. Different Kootu with different veggies is also a supplement for rice.

Method:
1. Rinse Chow Chow and dal. Peel off the skin and remove the seed by cutting chow chow vertically.
2. Cut into small pieces as desired.
3. In a cooker add chow chow pieces, Moong dal, Turmeric Powder,Sambar Powder, Salt. Add water so that chow chow is just covered.
4. Cook for 3 whistles.
5. Grind Coconut, Cumin seeds, Raw Rice Powder with little water.
6. Once the pressure is down open the cooker lid and add the ground paste into it.
7. Now temper mustard, urad dal, curry leaves and add to the curry.
8. Allow the curry to boil until it thickens.
