APPAM

Appam recipe : This recipe measurement is for a small family.Adapted from respected Mrs.Revathi Shanmugam’s recipe.

Ingredients

 Raw Rice
 Idli rice 
 Sabudana
 Urad dal
 Poha(Aval)
 Fenugreek seeds
 Grated Coconut
 Salt
 1 cup
 1 cup
 1/4 cup
 1/4 cup
 2 1/2 tbl spn
 2 tsp
 2 to 3 tbl spn
To taste



Method:
1. Wash and Soak all the ingredients except coconut and poha together for 6 to 7 hrs.
2. Wash and Soak poha separately. 
3. Grind all soaked items along with grated coconut to a fine paste.
4. Mix salt and allow it to ferment for nearly 6 hrs.
5. To make appam heat a pan and pour a ladle of batter and cook it on one side.
6. serve with sweetened coconut milk.
