GOBI MANCHURIAN

A favourite recipe of almost everyone ! I tried this recipe from raks kitchen and sharmis passion.I was not able to get spring onion. So managed to cook without it. It came out really well. A good combination with fried rice.

This recipe is good to pack for lunch as well. A good recipe to serve when you have guests.A nd they are sure to enjoy it :):)

Ingredients

Cauliflower
1
Maida/All Purpose flour
1 tbl spn
Corn Flour
1/2 tbl spn
Ginger Garlic Paste
3 tsp
Soya Sauce
3 tsp
Tomato Sauce
3 tsp
Chopped Garlic
1 tsp
Split Green Chillies
2
Pepper Powder
3 tsp
Turmeric Powder
1 tsp
Oil

Salt

Sugar
 1 tsp

Method:

1. Cut Cauliflower into pieces. Boil Water. Add a pinch of turmeric powder and salt.
2. Add the cauliflower to boiled water and allow it to cook partially. Strain water and keep aside
3. In a bowl mix a tblspn of Maida, 1/2 tblspn of cornflour,1 tsp of ginger garlic paste, a pinch of salt and little water. Make this into a paste. The paste should neither be too thick or too watery.
4. Drop the cauliflower pieces into the paste and allow it to marinate for 5 mins.
5. Deep fry the cauliflower in oil till it is crisp ad allow it to cool.
6. Heat a pan. Add oil.
7. When the oil is hot enough add finely chopped garlic and fry well.
8. Now add ginger garlic paste and sauté well followed by split green chillies.
9. To this add the soya sauce ,tomato sauce, pepper powder, salt, sugar and sauté well.
10. Now add fried cauliflower and salt so that the taste is absorbed into it.
11. Mix a tsp of corn flour with water and add this. It helps the gravy to thicken.

Tip:
1.You can either use split green chillies or chilli paste or chilli sauce.
2. I learn from a TV show that allowing soya sauce to be fried well ,brings a great taste. So sauté well once soya sauce is added.
3.I have not added spring onions. Will  update the post when I try with it. It tasted good even without them.
